Keeping Ramstein's Seniors Connected

SAT & ACT Information for Juniors & Seniors

SAT/ACT InformationDear Parents and Students,

Attached please find information on the ACT and SAT. (SAT/ACT Information)

All registration is done online. The ACT website is www.act.org. The SAT website is www.collegeboard.com. In addition to registration information, students can practice and learn test-taking tips and strategies. Students may want to sign up for the “SAT ~ Question of the Day” to be sent to their email address. Please remember to always write down your user name and password. This is very important for future reference.

When registering, students must remember to signup for the INTERNATIONAL (OUT of USA) test. This is very important. Also, please distinguish between the TEST CENTER CODE and the HIGH SCHOOL CODE. Ramstein HS students always use 576-340 as their HIGH SCHOOL CODE. However, the TEST CENTER CODE changes depending on which test is taken and the location.

The SAT is given at Kaiserslautern HS as well as Baumholder and Weisbaden. Each has a different SITE CODE which can be found on the website. Kaiserslautern’s SAT TEST CENTER CODE is 57735. The ACT is given at Ramstein, Heidelberg, and Weisbaden. The RAMSTEIN HIGH SCHOOL ACT TEST CENTER CODE is 866420.

Please remember when signing up that deadlines can be many weeks before the test. Additionally, when seat space is not available, the site closes to applicants. So please sign up in a timely manner. The SAT does not charge an international fee; however, the ACT will charge a fee if a student does not have a Waiver form. Forms are available for pick up in the Counseling office.

College bound juniors should take the test(s) by Spring of their Junior year. Seniors hoping to apply for college need to take a college entrance test as soon as possible. Practice and college reference books can be found in the Ramstein and base library. Students can take the tests as many times as they like, remembering that scores do not seem to fluctuate much, and that there is a cost associated each time.

We will be meeting with students throughout the year and look forward to helping you have a successful year.

Sincerely,

Maryann Porter
