THE SPA

Parents,

We had 5 positions available for SPA – We only had one nomination for each position therefore the officer positions were awarded by default.

We are please to announce this years SPA Officers

The SPA Officers for 2010 are:

President – Patricia Sission

Vice-President – Alejandra Bustamante-Aviles

Secretary – Deb Smith

Parent/Student Reps – Dale Bastin & Michelle Hall-Gordon

The SPA Officers will be in touch soon with information regarding a first general meeting.

   I am interested in working with the SPA and MAYBE filling an officer position. Mr. Williams, what exactly are the functions/responsibilies of each of the officers? Will separate “chairmen” be assigned for specific senior activities or is this the job of the SPA officers? Any more details or information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

   The SPA officers are in charge of leading and organizing all of the senior activities that the senior class advisors and officers decide on pursuing – the SPA is also in charge of coordinating senior class fundraising efforts –

   Last year our SPA was made up of approximately 30 parents – The SPA Officers worked directly with the Senior Class Officers, Ms. Young and I to ensure the things we needed to happen, happened –

   The SPA officers are instrumental in helping to plan and guide the events that happened for the senior class.

   The SPA officers also make sure that the rubber meets the road by coordinating or farming out task to subcommittees to organize food, volunteers, etc… for the events.

    DESSERT SEMINAR!! MONDAY – 23 November!! Please bring dessert to Great Hall at 1:30-1:40 on Monday!!!
